BioI keep my nuts in a hole in a big tree. It affords them a certain amount of security which they would not otherwise have if I kept them on the ground (as is the custom with other woodland creatures) where they would be prey to squirrels and/ or badgers. I have also added this 6cm thick steel door to deter tree-climbing and airbourne thieves. Inside the hole (or 'vault' as I prefer to call it) the nuts are kept in a lead casket which is protected by a laser-beam alarm system connected to the police station. In addition to this each nut has my name and address written on in invisible pen which shows up under u.v light. my nuts are safe.
